Shahrukh khan's cheap joke on Salman

Salman won’t share screen with Madhuri

Salman Khan is not just a big star in Bollywood but has also become the most popular name on the small screen. After his successful stints on hosting Dus Ka Dum and Bigg Boss, the actor is in big demand on the television circuit .

Sony TV once again approached the actor and this time for judging the latest season of their popular dance talent hunt show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. They have specially got Madhuri Dixit as one of the celebrity judges on the show. However, if sources are to be believed, Salman Khan flatly refused to be a part of the show despite the fact that he shares great bonding with Madhuri Dixit.

The reason reportedly is the rift between Salman Khan and Sony TV over the Dus Ka Dum fracas. Also Sony TV is arch rival of Colors for which Salman is presently hosting the show Bigg Boss.

We tried contacting the spokesperson of Sony TV but they remained unavailable for comment.

Shahrukh's Ra.One

Ra.One seems to be the most awaited film. Going by the discussions on the film, even though Shahrukh Khan is yet to release the first look of his home-production, it is evident that viewers across the globe are awaiting this SRK film for more reasons than one. The discussions across message boards/forums pertain to varied topics, right from the special effects to SRK's look in the film to the release date of this keenly-anticipated movie.

Initially slated for release in June 2011, it is speculated that the film will now release in the second half of 2011, although the producers are yet to finalize a date. That's because the VFX will take time to achieve the desired results. In fact, Anubhav's tweet says it all: "The VFx team and I are still figuring when we can deliver the film. Then my friends, The Producer will announce the date. But soon now..."

The question is, with Don 2 slated for release in December 2011, will Ra.One arrive a few months earlier or a few months later? After all, there has to be a sufficient gap between two biggies starring the same actor. Even the launch of the promos should be planned accordingly, so that they don't overlap each other.

With Rajinikant's Robot setting the standards, one expects Ra.One to go a step forward vis-à-vis the special effects and woo the audiences across the globe. And knowing SRK and his penchant for perfection, one is more than sure that Ra.One will turn out to be a visual delight, at par with the Hollywood counterparts.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS WATCH ONLINE

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 has received generally positive reviews. Review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes reports that 79% of critics gave the film a positive review based on 191 reviews, with an average score of 7.2/10. The consensus is "Deathly Hallows: Part I is a beautifully filmed, emotionally satisfying penultimate installment for the Harry Potter series."[99] On Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 based on reviews from critics, the movie currently has a score of 69 (citing "generally favourable reviews") based on 39 reviews.[100]
Among other reviews, Variety gave the film a positive rating, stating, "[...] Having made it this far, the Potter faithful won't be deterred by "Part 1's" bleak, inconclusive tenor, spelling phenomenal returns and raising expectations for a truly spectacular finish."[101] The UK's Daily Telegraph also gave the film a positive review, remarking, "For the most part the action romps along, spurred by some impressive special effects," adding, "It’s just slightly disappointing that, with the momentum having been established so effectively, we now have to wait until next year to enjoy the rest of the ride."[102] Roger Ebert awarded the first part three out of four stars, praising the cast and calling it "a handsome and sometimes harrowing film... completely unintelligible for anyone coming to the series for the first time".[103] Newsweek had a negative review in its November 15 issue.[10

Here comes the 'Men in Black' hiatus

: After a postponement of roughly a month, Will Smith's upcoming sci-fi comedy "Men In Black 3" will begin shooting tomorrow in New York. But in an unusual move for a big-budget Hollywood film, the production will take a nearly two-month hiatus from filming when it wraps for the holidays.
Two sources close to the 3-D production say the plan is for the film to shoot through the week of Christmas, then shut down until the middle of February, when it will resume.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of sensitivities around the big-budget 3-D movie, say that screenwriter Jeff Nathanson, whose credits include "Catch Me If You Can" and "Rush Hour 2," has also been brought in to begin work this week on a new draft of the film's script. Nathanson will specifically work on the story's time-travel component that sees a leap back to 1969, when Josh Brolin appears as a young Agent Kay (the character made popular by Tommy Lee Jones, who also reprises the role in this film).
"Tropic Thunder" writer Etan Cohen authored the first draft of the screenplay.
The shoot that begins this week will focus on the film's present-day events, while the production that picks up in mid-February will be centered on the 1969 storyline, the sources said.
The schedule likely won't affect the planned release of the film, which is scheduled for May 2012. But production shut-downs are very rare, especially on bigger-budget films, as they tend to drive up costs (the crew must continue to be paid during the shut-down).
The film's producer confirmed the hiatus but said it was not the result of creative disagreement but rather part of a plan conceived months ago that would allow the production to begin in 2010 but allow parts of the movie, which is set in the summer, to shoot in a more temperate climate.
"We had to start shooting this year to take advantage of New York State tax incentives, but we also needed to be able to shoot certain exteriors in warmer weather," producer Walter Parkes said. "So back in July we had the idea to keep the start date but build in a hiatus so we could essentially extend the production to late spring.”
A Sony spokesman on Monday echoed Parkes' statement.
The news of the hiatus comes after reports last month that the third installment of the Smith-led franchise was being pushed back from its October start date -- the second time that the preproduction process was halted -- because of dissenting views on the story among Smith, director Barry Sonnenfeld and the movie's producers.
At the time Sony said the delay was happening for tax-incentive reasons and was not related to any creative disagreement.

The script for "MIB 3" has generated a lot of talk in the blogosphere, particularly for the "Back to The Future"-style plot twist that sends Smith's Agent Jay back to 1969. According to those who've read said script, he travels back in time and meets Andy Warhol (who is secretly an alien) and other counterculture figures such as Yoko Ono and Jimi Hendrix (also secretly aliens).

Salman Khan to donate his bone marrow

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has pledged to donate his bone marrow to spread awareness on stem cell donation.
Khan urged people to donate their bone marrow to save lives.
"It's simple to donate bone marrow. You don't have to spend money for it. I think everybody should go and donate bone marrow," said Khan.
Bone marrow is used for transplants that are life saving for patients suffering from blood cancer, thalassemia, aplastic anemia, congenital immuno-deficiency states and other such blood related diseases.
"Do it for yourself. God forbids if you ever require bone marrow, then people who think like you will also donate bone marrow for you. So, it will be easy for you to find one," said Khan.

Aamir Khan vs. Shahrukh Khan: Battle for Christmas 2011

After a rigorous shoot for his superhero flick ‘Ra. One’, Shahrukh Khan is now in Berlin busy with the filming of Don 2. The sequel to Don, this promising thriller is being helmed by Farhan Akhtar and also stars Priyanka Chopra as the lead female.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan has signed an untitled suspense thriller by Reema Kagti and that film shall be going on the floors on February, 2011. Though, no official date has been selected yet, the makers are planning to release this Aamir venture in the last phase of 2011.
Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are the producers of both the films. Certainly, they won’t desire a clash. But Don 2 has been slated for a 23rd December, 2011 release, a date that can never go wrong unless the film is abysmally poor. Film makers these days do try to cash in on the festive fervour of Diwali and Christmas.
But since Aamir prefers his films to find a Christmas release, one can’t be blamed for believing that Reema Kagti’s film shall find a theatrical release around the same time. But since both films are under the Farhan Akhtar banner, a clash is unlikely to take place.
Reema has tried to dismiss this speculation but it would be interesting to see which of the two Khans can lock the Christmas date.

Salman-John patch up with a hug

Bollywood actors Salman Khan and John Abraham were once foes but not anymore. It is said that the duo met at Mehboob Studios and decided to end the differences. They hugged and spent some quality time together.Buzz up!
The patch up happened on the sets of Desi Boyz, featuring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh and Sanjay Dutt. Salman came to the sets to meet Akshay, Sanjay, Deepika and director Rohit Dhawan. There he saw John, who was shooting for the film. What came as a pleasant surprise was that they stepped forward and hugged. They were also spotted having lunch together.

Well, it may be recalled that the duo have been avoiding each other for over 4 years following a misunderstanding at a stage show. It's good that they have finally decided to patch up. All is well that ends well!

Salman gives ‘Dus Ka Dum’ makers hell, quotes Rs 2.5 cr per episode

Mumbai: Salman Khan might have given his nod to hosting money-churning show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, but he is making the channel pay heavily for his return. And we mean that literally. The superstar has reportedly quoted a whopping sum of Rs 2.5 crore per episode.

And he has also staunchly added that he will return to hosting the show if only he is paid the set amount. This fee is approximately a 51 per cent hike of what he was paid for the first and second season of the show.
Confirming the news a source told a daily, “Salman was being paid approximately Rs 1.65 crore per episode then.”

However, reports had stated that Salman had charged only Rs 89 crore for the 104 episodes that were telecast in the first season of Dus Ka Dum. But the source denies those figures now and states, “No. That was a conservative figure portrayed in the media.”

But this time round the actor has broken all records of fees charged by film-stars for hosting TV shows. The actor has left behind veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in quoting a hefty amount to act host for a show.

What’s interesting is that the actor is asking much more than what is presently bagging for ‘Bigg Boss 4’.

As per sources, Salman is being paid about Rs 2 crore per episode for Bigg Boss 4. And that’s a package deal, which involves public appearances and a lot of other things.

We wonder if it’s the ugly episode with ‘Dus Ka Dum’ makers that has triggered Sallu to act this way.

Cold War Between Salman Khan, Govinda Comes To An End

The persistent cold war between the two Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Govinda has reportedly reached the final stages and is expected to come to a close shortly and the entire credit goes to the Bollywood director David Dhawan who made many a movie with the twosome. David is all set to make the sequel to the film Partner in which Govinda and Salman Khan played the lead. The project, tentatively titled, Partner 2 could never hit the floors unless the fissure between the duo is healed. Thus the intervention of David Dhawan was necessary in the course at least for the period of completion of the pet project.

When asked about this, David Dhawan stated that he was highly bothered about the apparent bad terms between Salman Khan and Govinda. David added saying that both of them are his bosom friends without whom he couldn't have made many hit films.

Salman khan with golmal 3

A massive feast awaited the Golmaal 3 cast members and Director Rohit Shetty when they visited the sets of Bigg Boss. Thanks to Salman Khan, who treated Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu after he heard of the film having got a big opening. The Diwali special episode will be telecast on Colours channel tonight.
A source from the Bigg Boss sets said: "Salman is known as the large-hearted Khan in B-Town. Yesterday he proved it once again when he personally invited the Golmaal 3 cast along with director Rohit Shetty for lunch at his specially-erected home."

"Though each of the cast members and Rohit had their individual vans, Salman insisted they all join him for lunch. Salman was genuinely happy to hear from Rohit and Ajay that Golmaal 3 got a good opening and
almost Rs 10 crore on the opening day,"  he added.

It was a royal feast with delicious food cooked and packed from Salman's home. The source said, "The menu included a variety of Diwali sweets from kaju barfis to gajar ka halwa. Chicken tikka, mutton biryani, corn palak and daal was also on the menu. Salman ribbed Tusshar about his deaf and mute act in the film and told him how much he enjoyed it. He even mimicked the act."

That wasn't all. "Ajay, Rohit and Kareena went inside the Bigg Boss house while Shreyas and Tusshar stayed with Salman outside. When Salman asked Rohit which Bigg Boss 3 contestant would he cast in Golmaal 4, Rohit replied Aanchal. This, was because she was the quietest member of the house and would be a fine romantic partner for Tusshar's character."

Rohit Shetty said, "It was good fun meeting Salman and the other team members in BB4. I'm very happy that Golmaal 3 has got a bumper opening all over."

"Diwali is a time of festivities and joy and our film is an embodiment of that. I hope G3 brings lots of happiness people's lives," he added.

Salman Khan signed for Ramesh Taurani's next

Post the success of Dabangg, Salman Khan has become a hot property in Bollywood. No wonder then that all the directors and producers are lining up to sign the star for their films.

The latest news is that Salman Khan has been signed up by Ramesh Taurani for his next venture. However, Taurani states, "Actually, we had signed Salman much before Dabangg, for the remake of Amar Akbar Anthony."

However, the plans to remake Amar Akbar Anthony have been dropped and now Taurani wants to start a new project with the star. Says Ramesh Taurani, "Since we already have Salman on board, we have decided to make a totally different film. The film will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and we have already locked the script."

As for the details regarding the cast and of the yet untitled venture, Taurani says, "Though we have already locked the script, we are yet to finalise on the rest of the cast. The film will go floor only next year. Apart from this, I cannot say much now as it's still too early."

Well, let's hope that Sallu who is currently enjoying a high phase in his career continues with it through next year as well.
